Students in a class People differ from other people, but in a classroom people can act a certain way because of their friends. It could be that just don’t care or it is that they don’t know how to act. These people can be very beneficial or extremely harmful to one’s efforts in the classroom. These three types of people seem to be the most common types in classrooms today. These kinds of people can be classified in three different ways being the geek, being the distraction, and being the “sleeper.” The geek seems to be the most popular in the classroom, as long as one is on their good side. They can also be confused, as a person of the “norm” until they break out into their geeky side; showing their exceptional intellect, broad and developed interests, and their hobbies. With their excellent intelligence, a geek could lead someone in the right direction if needed. A geek can be there to give hints, to tutor, and to teach a person on what to do. They always seem to have an expanded horizon on interests and hobbies. Their interest in a variety of topics is what makes them a geek. They have different interests from those of other people, like being involved in the school band, art class, the chess club, or even the math club. A geek’s hobbies can be totally different from what they do at school like playing video games, using a computer, or just being involved with electronics. A really strong point in a geek is that they are a truly good person. They always want to give in some way, whether it’s donating to charity, tutoring a fellow student, or helping a friend in need. Next is the type of person in class who constantly wants to be distracting to the whole class or the teacher. Probably in most people’s opinion this is the worst type of person to have a class with. This distracting person can seriously harm your grade, learning skills, the lesson, or the test. A person who is a distraction can easily hurt learning skills by luring you into not paying attention, by talking, or by getting focus on them. The worst way is having them not let you do your best on a test by being obnoxious. They could try cheating off you, pester you for answers or hints, or even just snatch the paper away from you. The last type of person is the “sleeper.” This person is just lazy. He sleeps in
