Night Support Worker
Working in a residential school for young people with ASD aged 7-19. Assisting them with their night routines e.g. washing and dressing for bed, whilst encouraging independence, ensuring that the student's health and wellbeing is maintained at all times, providing personal care, cleaning living areas (e.g. mopping, dusting/ polishing, cleaning food surfaces and cleaning bathrooms.), recording and reporting through excels and observation books to follow student's sleep patterns and health, general admin work e.g. inputting data, writing emails and newsletters to students, archiving.
Cleaner/Housekeeper – The Bankes Arms Hotel
Reason for leaving – Replaced by unpaid staff
My main duties included cleaning the Hotel’s 10 rooms, changing bed sheets, vacuming, mopping, Dusting, cleaning bathroom areas and maintaining other aspects of cleanliness in the rooms. I was also required to clean the bar, dining room and hallway areas to a high standard.
Children’s Library Service Assistant – Borough of Poole Libraries
Reason for leaving – 6 Month Contract
My main Duties included working in a small team of 2 others to assist the children’s Librarian in her daily job role, working with children and young people aged 0-19 years of age. These duties included organising and running various workshops for children and young people to promote Poole Libraries and ensure our full Library service is accessible to them, selecting and sending stock to various childcare settings, schools, other Borough of Poole services and individual service users, Organising and running fun days and other family events to promote Poole Libraries, Assisting in running challenges etc. to promote Poole Libraries (e.g. The Summer Reading Challenge, Bookstart Bookcrawl), sending Bookstart packs etc. To various schools and childcare settings, designing flyers and posters to advertise Poole libraries and various events, General admin duties (e.g. writing emails, calling various schools and childcare settings), Helping to run storytime sessions (e.g. Baby bounce), General maintenance of stock (e.g. weeding out of date stock and improving presentation etc.), I also rewrote the “Junior Subject index” for Poole libraries
