In my opinion, a hybrid security operation would be most effective for a large corporation like Boeing. As a Regional Security Director for the Cleveland Clinic, I have experienced the benefits of a hybrid security operation, which Cleveland Clinic currently operates at its campuses. With a mix of proprietary police officers, and investigators, teamed with contract, unarmed security, the Cleveland Clinic has realized the cost effectiveness of the contract side of the plan, and the professionalism of the proprietary side of protective services. Large corporations like Boeing and the Cleveland Clinic benefit from this type of set-up, mainly because of both operations countering potential negative aspects of the other operation.
