Coakley viewpoints consists of arguments for and against interscholastic sports and Challenge of achieving academic goals. Some arguments for interscholastic sports are, development of valued skills, student’s involvement in activities and building self-esteem. Some arguments against interscholastic sport is distracting attention from academics. Since 1983 the NCAA have put minimal academic requirements for all NCAA student athletes. The NCAA rules have been designed to let students know that a commitment to academics is required to be a big-time college sport student and to motivate high schools to create student athletes and no just athletes. A major problem is that coaches, sponsors, corporations and even some academic administrators are
