The World is like a basketball it moves, Life is like a basketball, it moves ups and down. I Love basketball, I feel the affection for the taste of victory when you win a game; however, I also find losing a beneficial experience. The feeling of scoring a point is great. It’s slow motion at first, as you glaze at the shot you’ve made, wondering if it will go through the hoop. The Taste of victory is sweet “swoosh” the clears the hoop and falls through the net, I get that feeling that I’ve completed something big. Basketball has always been my passion I started playing at the age of 10. Basketball didn’t come to me easy I picked up the game quickly. My Ninth grade year was when I saw the light at the end of the tunnel and had the vision that I would be special. Going the park just to play with the older men and hearing them say that I could have a bright future really gave me a lot of motivation to be great. Aside from the elder man I watched and looked up too many professional athletes and had aspirations of becoming a professional basketball player. While having these long term goals I would first become a collegiate athlete. Going through a lot I had a turning point in my basketball career which was facing adversity and trying to adapt to the game. Started recognizing the amount of work I put into this sport and how giving something your all good will come in return. What stood out was taking on the task of carrying my team and finally embracing that role of being the leader on and off the court.
