All my life, I've always been a curious person. When I was younger, the most used word in my dictionary was 'why'. Nowadays, I resort to Google for my questions. Since Google can't answer all of my questions, I realized that I could take my curiosity into my career. When I was younger, I didn't understand what science was all about. Many of my science teachers would just tell us what we needed to pass the test, but once I came to high school, my teachers would engage in conversations and debates about any topic. I know many people hate debating because they hate being wrong, but I love to debate with people; I see it as a way to comprehend how other people think. Since our thoughts are only in our own head, it's the only way we can fully understand what goes on in someone else's head.

Growing up, it was hard to find people who agreed my philosophy of having an open mind, so I was known as a defiant student. Once I've started to get older, I realized that the easiest way to get through school was to play by their rules, and that's what I did. My older sister was the athlete of the family, so she would get all the praise for that. On the other hand, the only way I would get a slight bit of praise from my parents were through my grades. Prior to high school, I didn't see school as my path into the future. It was just to make my parents happy and for them to show off to their coworkers.
