“Everything is gonna be alright” It's funny how things always seem to workout, i guess it's just the way things were meant to be. About 2 years ago when I was a freshman in highschool I attended a boarding school. This wasn't your typical boarding school it was a military boarding school, imagine a school where you woke up day in and day out at 6:15, you wore a uniform, but not a standard khakis and sperry uniform, a military uniform, you had to have your hair a certain length and you took orders from people your own age and some even younger than you. A place like this was called Fork Union, located in the middle of nowhere. About three or so weeks before the parade I got the phone call my mom was coming from Georgia to Virginia I was ecstatic because I hadn't seen her in two months. Thats a lot of time to go without seeing your mother. Fast Forward 1 week until the parade I’ve even already packed for the upcoming weekend and told all my friends about it. I was put in such an awkward position when I received another phone call on how she booked her flight back on the wrong day and wouldn't be able to come up. Later that night I called her and sat on the phone in weeping because of how much I missed her the even worse news was it would be another month until I saw her again. Age 14 is not the age to be worried about when the next time you see your other should be. One positive outlook of this story is how you instantly appreciate your parents and how much just seeing them day in and day out is a blessing often times kids take their parents being there for granted but going to this school I realized how much I appreciated having them around. The thing in which saved me from spending the week on my bleak and dreary campus was my mom's best
