College, a time of gaining the necessary tools and knowledge about a particular field in the workforce that someone wants to get into. It’s a big leap forward from High School graduate to College student, and it can be a daunting task, but it’s an experience that should be beneficial to one’s own interests. As such, College students should do what they can to ensure their own growth as a person. One of my initial motivations for me to start college is my interest in writing. I enjoy writing fictional stories and have spent the past couple of years working on my own skills. While I don’t consider myself to be great, I do have confidence in my abilities to write. That quote, although said light heartedly and for fun in its context, still holds its merit in how true it rings. It’s simplistic and easy to understand. You need to practice to get better. The more I write, the more comfortable I become with my written words, and the easier it becomes to just let them flow out. The feeling from the flow is hard to describe, but as best as I can put it, it exudes out from my mind, and through my fingertips. It can even seep out through my ears and blind my vision as they fill them in with vivid detail and sound from particular scenes. This provides a great rush that keeps me wanting more. I wish to improve that by at least ten fold and my thirst for the knowledge on how to keeps me striving for more.
