“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves,” a breathtaking quote by Abraham Lincoln. To express opinions, and be protected is what freedom means to me. Today in the 21st Century, it is extremely honored to hold the independence we were granted in 1776, and for this, I am a proud, free American. Most importantly, freedom is the ability to have opinions and choices to activities just as simple as when to be woken up. In America, my parents have the choice of what career to take, and I have the privilege to go to school to learn, whereas in some countries school is never thought of. In gratefulness to the first amendment, our five basic freedoms give us, the people: the freedom of the press, the freedom of petition, the freedom of religion, the freedom of speech, and lastly, the freedom to assemble peacefully. For example, being a female in modern time school is now primarily attended by both genders, unlike in history girls could not go to school, and I am proud to have the rights given back to me and the rest of the United States to learn. Moreover, there are hundreds of freedoms that America provides, but the ability to express my opinion is what stands out to me most. …show more content…
For the people of the land of the brave, military services such as the navy, army, coast guard, and marines fight for our freedoms and provide us with the food on our plates we eat today. Also, our private information is protected, because of this I feel confident about that my information is safe and my parents can make payments with trusted experts safely.
