This quote inspires my life because being gay in a world that still does not completely accept it is hard to go through, but I go through my life as who I am. It is what makes me who I am and even though it is hard to accept how my life might get a little rough, honestly I would not ask to go through my life any differently. Growing up, I always wanted to be a veterinarian because helping animals always seemed to make me feel better, but as I grew older, I noticed that cosmetology was more my passion. The different hairstyles and makeup looks are just so interesting to me. I started playing with hair when I got into middle school and I noticed that I liked doing it. I started wanting to learn different ways to style hair and do makeup. I knew how to single braid and fishtail braid in middle school, but I never learned anything else until my Sophomore year in high school. My skills on the other hand, well they could use some work. Some people may brag about all the skills they may have, but in my opinion, nobody fits skills 100 percent of the time. My family suffered a great loss this past summer when my dad passed away in July. I quit my job at Dillons to focus more on my schooling so I can get into a beauty school and continue my education so I can take care of my family. Getting into a beauty school is one priority of many on my list that I will strive for. I am very passionate about my education and would love to continue learning about what I love to do. Not only will that allow me to grow, but it will give me different perspectives on how hair, makeup, and nail
