Being in College English I learned a significant amount about my writing skills and what type of writer I am. I have learned much about myself as a reader and a writer. Over the semester, my communication skill has improved greatly. Also in addition to improving my reading and writing, I have become a much better student in general. Learning how to become a virtuous student involves learning effective strategies for approaching my work. Final, I have thought about my future plans throughout this course. A famous rapper J. Cole once said “Never give up until you’ve given out all your very best. It’s better to fail trying than wondering what could have happened if you tried.” The reason I picked this quote because I wanted to drop out this class because I thought I wouldn’t be successful in this English class. This semester I have improved my reading and writing skills, become a better student, learned effective strategies, and pondered over my future goal.

I am in college to get my nursing degree to become a neonatal registered nurse. Too be able to be a Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing, I would be mandatory to complete a minimum number of years of clinical experience in a hospital setting. Therefore, I will be doing four years for my bachelor’s degree called the Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I aspire being around babies in a hospital setting also being able to attend to them gives me elation. So, hopefully I fulfill my purpose by becoming a most effective learners set personal learning goals, employ proven strategies, and self-assess their work. Teachers help cultivate such habits of mind by modeling self-assessment and goal setting and by expecting students to apply these habits regularly.
