The autobiographical narrative, Night by Eliezer Wiesel reveals the atrocities against the Jewish people and many other undesirables during WWII and the Holocaust. The events take place in concentration camps throughout Europe. Elie and his family are forced to leave their home and community. Before this dreadful experience, Elie is very pious, naive, and persistent. To start off, one thing we learn from Elie is that he is very pious. He strongly believes in his religion and does everything he can to learn all he can from it. Elie states in the narrative,“I was twelve. I believed profoundly” (pg. 14).
