Growing up in a public elementary school, I did not learn fractions the way I am teaching them to my students today. Throughout my credential program at California State University Dominguez hills, I was conditioned to use only Common Core Standards throughout all my training. I began to implement Common Core strategies during my substitute teaching assignments as well.
