Common humanity an important thing in the world. Common humanity is used alot in many different concepts. Common humanity used in both positive and negative ways. Common humanity is well represented in many books and sometimes common humanity is an important factor in some books. In harper lee’s classic to kill a mockingbird common humanity is presented a lot. A young girl named scout is being shown the ways and the different concepts of common humanity. Scout goes through the troubles and the good of common humanity in a tiny city.

One way common humanity is presented in to kill a mockingbird is standing up for each other. A specific example would be how scout defends atticus when she did not even know the cause. one day scout had gone to school and she had encountered a problem with a kid named cecil jones. A specific example would be how miss caroline who was new to community had shamed a kid named walter cunningham. The cunninghams were very poor people in Maycomb. The cunningham had trouble getting food and other materials. Miss caroline a new teacher who scout did not like. Scout had disliked miss caroline because earlier in the book we learn that miss caroline is a very different teacher and likes thing her way. Miss caroline had noticed that one day walter did not have money to get food and miss caroline had tried to give him but walter kept nodding his head and that’s when the whole class recognized what was happening. Scout had said to miss caroline that “walter is a cunningham”. Miss caroline responded weirdly which ended up with scout getting in trouble. This example clearly fits common humanity because helping is a way of common humanity. Scout realizes a lot of things in this example like she learned more about miss caroline like how she was.
