Using communicative approach in language classrooms in elementary schools. Games are one of the best teaching techniques in teaching because of the use of meaningful interaction, although teachers doesn't use it as much as the advantages of it and even if they used it, they doesn't get the maximum benefit of it until recently, they started using it. Elementary pupils are the best ones who'll get benefit of this technique. Games, as everything else, has many types, the one which I'll concentrate on is the communicational games. Now researchers start studying this technique after they saw its effectiveness on teaching-learning process in the last few years when pupils showed an improvement in their academic achievement but of course not all teachers master how to deliver the information without any distracting from the game. Using games in teaching language especially to elementary pupils will enhance their performance in acquiring and learning language in all its fields. Information will be stuck in their minds easily and in a way that they love, but choosing the suitable game will be affect understanding rate for the pupils. One of the most famous games of all time is hot-seat where the student faces his colleagues when the teacher start writing a word, students start to describe the word to their friend, the teacher can write a bunch of words that can easily lead to the word, we call them Taboo words, this game practice vocabulary. Another fun game is Chinese whisper where the teacher should split the class into two row teams, he start whispering the word to the first kid in the row and he'll pass it to the student next to his and it goes on until the last student who'll pronounce it loudly and the first team who pronounce it correctly will get a point, this one will practice speaking ability. Another game which demands communication is that the teacher make a survey that include an easy questions like: who in the class is the eldest of her\his sibling? - Who in the class did ate a banana last night? - Who in the class does love English language? . . . Etc. Of course we all know role play technique where the students are asked to act in a given situation, it'll practice many things including pronunciation. What's the question is a game which will practice the grammar (question forms) where the teacher should give an answer and the student will predict the suitable question.
