Compare And Contrast California To New Jersey

When I moved from New Jersey to California a year ago, I just assumed that California would be a completely new environment. Were my predictions correct? There is no definite answer. Many things about the two states are the same, while they also have their major differences.
California is a large state that is located on the west coast of the U.S.A. It consists of many different areas with different weather patterns. In most parts of California, except for some places like Lake Tahoe, there is very little snow. Down in Southern California it is warm just about all year long, with the exception of a month or so in winter. On the west coast, the sun is very strong and there are many outdoor activities to do such as trail running, mountain biking, and camping. California is also full of beaches that are nearby, and there is tons of wildlife.

First of all, California is a giant compared to New Jersey, and they are on opposite sides of the country. People in California do more outdoor sports, like mountain biking, hiking, or surfing, because of the versatile environment. In contrast, people who live in New Jersey do the more common sports, like basketball, soccer, and baseball. New Jersey is a smaller state that most people don’t choose to go to for vacation, since there aren’t a lot of tourist attractions. Meanwhile, tons of people travel to California to see things all over like Yosemite, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
New Jersey and California also have a surprising amount of similar qualities that are often overlooked. California has so many different regions that can be matched up with New Jersey. For example, in the winter, New Jersey is covered in snow and rain. In certain parts of California, such as Lake Tahoe, snow covers all the mountains. In the summer, New Jersey is hot and humid, and southern California tends to be very sunny and warm as
