Do you like good books? Do you like books about the future? Then Fahrenheit 451 is your book to read. Fahrenheit 451 is about a community that has books illegal. The 451 part of the title is paper burns at the temperature 451. The main idea of Fahrenheit 451 is the author is trying to guess what happens in the future. This was successful because it connected the author’s vision of the future to the modern day. Fahrenheit 451 and The Declaration of Independence have many different similarities. One similarity is the government provides new guards for future security. In Fahrenheit 451 the government set rules for the society about books. The government for both of these set rules. This is an example, “It is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.” (Jefferson). In The Declaration of Independence the government has to follow rules about setting rules about citizens rights and citizens duties. Throughout both of these the government has set certain rules to give power. Another similarity is between Fahrenheit 451 and nature. One similarity is how nature is related.
