Hurricanes and tornadoes are a very scary thing to think about, but they have really cool facts . In the next few paragraphs I will be comparing and contrasting both hurricanes and tornadoes, and telling very cool facts about them. The facts are from Source 1, 2, 3, 4 , and Spencer Adkins. So, let's get started with tornadoes in the first paragraph.

If you don't know what a tornado is, a tornado is a violently rotating column of air that has contact with both the surface of the earth. According to Source 1, " "Tornado Alley" is an informal term that describes the area in the United States where the strongest tornadoes occur most frequently- particularly northern Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska." Also there are many other states that can be attacked with tornadoes, such as Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia. Also mentioned in Source 2, " A tornado can be described as cyclonic because of the way its winds rotate. In the Northern Hemisphere, tornadoes spin counter clock wise, but in the Southern Hemisphere, tornadoes rotate clockwise." According to Source 1," In the United States, communities locate in the South Atlantic and Gulf states( Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida) are the most vulnerable to hurricanes."
