Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. had two different perspectives on life from the values they were taught while also having different family backgrounds. Having these differences in life lead them to spread their messages to different crowds. One special Martin Luther King Jr. did was in any of his messages or speeches he always spoke about equality for all races, he never singled out one race to be treated equal. He made the inequality of several races well known and showing people that they can be the change to stop it. In his famous “I Have a Dream” speech King said “It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment. King voiced that he wanted a fresh start for all, he wanted a new beginning for all races and freedom to be spread to all. On a different note, Malcolm X had spoke to different crowds than those from King. Malcolm’s outlook on life had changed in prison when he converted to the Nation of Islam. The way Malcolm X had voiced his teachings portrayed white people were wrong and corrupt. He wanted black people to separate from white people. Malcolm X wanted the two races segregated from one another. As a orator to large crowds, Malcolm had shown a derision towards white people in some of his speeches. In a speech Malcolm said “ Every time you see a white man, think about the devil you're seeing!” and he also said “ and what we have foremost in common is that enemy- the white man. He's an enemy to all of us. I know some of you all think that some of them aren't enemies. Time will tell.” In various parts of Malcolm’s speeches he portrayed white people as enemies and that they will always be bad.
