Romeo and Juliet show strong affection for each other at first sight, despite their backgrounds in the book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. While they are aware of their differences, and the consequences that come with them, they see a similar love between each other, and embrace it. In the movie Warm Bodies by Jonathan Levine , the characters don’t see eye to eye as far as loving each other at first, but eventually loves seemingly boundless limits shows R and Julie they do love each other. Both R and Julie and Romeo and Juliet must deal with the consequences of being “star-crossed lovers” from different societies that despise each other. In Romeo and Juliet, Romeo and Juliet both tragically die in the end. In Warm Bodies love actually brings R back to life, along with the other zombies. The zombies are dead and emotionless, they don’t communicate with one another, they don’t have anything. The people in the story lost everything to the apocalypse, including their families and friends. By the end of the story the zombies see love and emotion, causing their heart to beat and they come back to life. In Romeo and Juliet, everyone is wealthy. They have families who care about them and friends who love them. By the end of Romeo and Juliet this twists because everyone dies. No one has anything anymore. Another alteration in the two stories is that in Romeo and Juliet no Montagues and Capulets want to help the other. In Warm Bodies the Zombies end up helping the humans fight against the Boneys. The zombies are misunderstood for evil people that they aren’t. In addition to these differences, Romeo and Juliet loved each other at first sight, but in Warm Bodies Julie was scared of R at first because he was a zombie. Both stories became a love story, but Warm Bodies was a story of survival for Julie
