Ice hockey and Soccer
Obviously, sports are different and similar from one another in rules, equipment, draft, scores, and playing field. Ice hockey is not just players running around on ice, just like soccer is not just players running on grass. Ice hockey and soccer are two of the most common and popular sports that are played by in several parts of the world. Many will argue that these two sports are similar to each other since soccer and ice hockey are both fast-paced games that require a player to score a point by putting an object into a goal guarded by a player from the other team. On the contrary, they share lots of differences in rules and scoring, physical demands, and playing fields.

A soccer game is played with two teams, each team has 11 players, playing either forward, midfield, defense or goalie. Players need to drive a ball into the net by kicking, heading, passing, dribbling, shooting or using any part of the body except the arms and hands. Furthermore, the goalkeeper is the only player that may touch or move the ball with arms and hands. In soccer, when the ball crosses the goal line, a point is scored. If they have equal goals, the game is called a draw, or at times goes to extra-time or even a penalty shoot-out. Three points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. Hockey is played with six players on the ice for each team; five skaters, one goaltender. For instance, the five skaters have assigned positions: three forwards and two defensemen. Regardless of assigned positions, all players except the goaltender can move anywhere on the ice. The goaltender cannot cross the center ice red line that divides the rink in half. In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck completely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who indeed deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). Ice hockey is played on a rink, the rink is rectangular with rounded corners to keep playing rapidly. The edges of these limits are marked by walls rising forty-two inches high called boards (acceptable ranges from 40-48 inches). The rink usually measure 61 meters long and 30 meters wide. Also, acrylic glass extends up above the boards to allow for an audience to watch safely behind and allow the puck to be played off it while keeping the play going. Nonetheless, soccer played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. If the ball goes off the sides, then a throw-in is awarded; if it goes off the end, a corner or goal kick is awarded, depending on which side touched the ball
