Dunkirk and Stalingrad The battle of Stalingrad and Dunkirk were both the fatal mistakes of HItler and his third reich. The battle of stalingrad was the official turning point of the war were the communist soviets pushed back the Facist natzis into Berlin, and Dunkirk the miracle made possible by hundreds of little boats saving thousands of lives from the advancing germans. These two battles were two mistakes that HItler made that most likely costed him the war. The miracle at Dunkirk was what winston churchill called it.
