Compare And Contrast Wes Moore

I have a completely different story than both Wes Moore’s, I grew up in a wealthy neighborhood and went to a private school my entire. I did have one thing in common with both Wes Moore’s, and that thing was being surrounded and influenced by drugs specifically marijuana. During my freshman year of high-school marijuana was legalizes in my state, this became a huge problem, especially for young adults. This changed my life in a huge way. I’m not going to get into all the details of it, but I was literally surrounded by weed. The kid who drove me to school was a senior and he would smoke while driving me to school, some of my older friends and my cousins grew weed and would literally give it to me and my friends for free. This is similar to how the Other Wes Moore got caught up in dealing drugs because his brother dealt, and it surrounded him in his neighborhood. My parents did not approve of my use of weed and they definitely didn’t approve of my dealing of weed, but they didn’t really know how to punish me so it didn’t stop me. Some decisions I made were to play sports and to work part-time jobs during high school. These decisions helped me to stop using and dealing because I had to pass drug tests to work and to play sports. Another Large decision I made was to go to Seton Hall, I needed to get out of Washington to get away from my friends and cousins who were influencing my decisions. This is similar to the author Wes Moore because he went to a military school which took him out of his bad situation, which is similar to me attending Seton Hall, which took me out of my bad situation. While reading this book I sometimes felt similar to the author Wes Moore, which made me proud of myself, but during other times, I felt similar to the other Wes Moore which made me feel the opposite. If I had stayed in Washington, I really don’t know what would have happened to
