Contrary to what you all think about heroes, but most people think a hero is someone who has super natural powers, although heroes can be an ordinary citizen like you. When comparing Beowulf to ordinary citizen’s differences can range from Beowulf having ab-normal super powers, or even a police man who protects you from malicious people. Both Beowulf and ordinary citizens both show a huge sign of heroism. They both show different physical capabilities, feats, and passion. When comparing their similarities they both shine in their own way.
Beowulf is “stronger than anyone anywhere in the world”, stated in the poem. The quote from the poem tells us how mighty and legendary Beowulf really is. Therefore, showing his true physical capability’s in battle. He once fought a beast like creature, known as Grendel, whom he defeated with ease. That’s truly amazing, because many men before Beowulf tried to defeat Grendel, but lots a horrible defeat. This shows how he really compares to others in those type of things.
You may ask, “What has Beowulf accomplished throughout his journeys.” Well Beowulf has fought three great battles, which he won all battles. “A prince of the Geast (Beowulf) has killed Grendel, ending the grief, the sorrow, the suffering forced on Hrothgar’s helpless people by a blood thirty fiend.” This quote from the poem shows one of many

A police officer protects the people for a living, and most police officers protect because they care for the people. Police officers feats differ from Beowulf’s, the police take people to jail who rob, steal, kill, etc. Those are federal crimes; those people may suffer years in prison. Meanwhile, Beowulf fights monster like creatures that harm villages and such. Beowulf and police officers have different feats, but they both prove worthy as a hero. No matter what circumstances there in they both will find a way to overcome those
