I think people should not be hire to the hospital, if they smoke. All employees should have a health lifestyles, because they help people to stay healthy. Let’s imagine if someone will have a emergency situation in future and you would go to hospital and no one can help you because they have smoke break. That is not right. So I think all hospitals should ban hiring smokers to save someone’s life.
Refocus -More hospitals are refusing to hire smokers but not all of them. Our society can not regulate what someone does on their non-working hours. If you don’t want people to smoke during working hours the easy solution is to build a smoke-free area. If a person cannot go eight hours without a cigarette then it will be their choice to find another job , where smoking is allowed. Also some patients don’t like when their nurses smell tobacco. Healthcare field require attention to the patients and always take care of them. Identify - What make people to smoke? I think a main reason that people smoke is habit. When they begin to smoke they can not stop. Some people who are working in healthcare field trying to quit with tobacco, but it take a long time. In healthcare field people who has a bad habit such a smoking can not be habit to the hospitals. It is important rule be a nonsmoker in industry
Think through - I personally don’t like the smell of smoke or how people smell after they smoke, but it is their right to smoke if they want to. People think that smoking is a way to fight with stress, and it is true , but they don’t know smoking can completely damaged their respiratory system. Insight - Smokers are not the enemy. If a hospital have smoker staff , the best thing they can do is help them to quit. It is hospital responsibility to have a warning sign that smoking is prohibited on the
