Compare Plato's Shift Towards A Civilized Society

To be considered a civilized society, crime must be responded to in a fair way so that justice is served. Our modern society is a fairly good example of a civilized society. However, during Gilgamesh time period, it was the exact opposite. One may say that the shift towards a more civilized society began during Plato’s time period. There are a few key similarities in our society today as in Plato’s society. All in all, Plato’s shift towards a more civilized society created the world as we know it today.
In 2700 BCE (Gilgamesh era), everything was insane! The only way to solve a problem was fighting.

It’s clear to see why The Oresteia wanted to shift towards a more civilized society. If they hadn't did it sooner, every citizen would have probably been murdered by someone trying to avenge someone else.
At the beginning of Plato’s society, everything was about revenge. It was always about getting back at each other and avenging one another. It started to become a never ending cycle.
