Moving is bad but in Amira’s Song by Lauren Tarshis and The Boy Who Fought Hitler by Nora Raleigh, both characters had to move from a life of luxury to a way worse situation. The two stories show that the characters have to persevere despite their challenging circumstances. Both children show determination and bravery through all hardships and manage to overcome their problems.
Both stories show determination many times, like when Amira’s grandmother stayed in Syria when their family had to move to the U.S or when Ben’s family had to live in the Warsaw ghetto for the rest of their lives.
