In most vampiric mythology, human beings dominates the world in terms of population and control. There are good people and bad people. The same thing can be said about vampires. We have to eat food in order to live and that is a repetitive task that we do daily as part of being human. Vampires have to eat too but unfortunately they must feed in the living if they are to survive. It is normal for us to eat regular human food but for vampires, feeding on flesh and blood is the norm. They feed on human beings as if we consume animal's meat as a source of food. A vampire who does not harm and drink human blood is rare to find. A vampire who fight off other vampires to protect our civilization is a hero who goes above and beyond the call of duty. A fine example about a heroic vampire is Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Not only that he does not harm human being anymore but he also killed his vampiric partner in crime Darla to save Buffy.
