“Anybody doesn’t like the way you look, screw’em”. The story, Angus Bethune by Chris Crutcher and the story Lamb to the slaughter by Ronald Dahl share many similarities and differences. One element where the two stories, share similarities and differences is in the Similarities and differences of the short story, Angus Bethune and the short story Lamb to the Slaughter. In both of the stories the protagonist’s were bullied by someone. In the story, ‘Angus Bethune’ , Angus was the one getting bullied by Rick. In ‘Lamb to the Slaughter’ , Mary gets bullied by her husband when he gets home. Both protagonist’s fight back against the bully in the stories. Angus fights back against rick by threatening him at the dance and standing up for himself and his parents. Mary fights back against her husband by smashing him in the back of the skull with a frozen lamb leg and killing him.
