Being in Jail to Being Grounded
When people were children, being grounded felt like the world was ending. People are locked up in a room by their self, and was not allowed to see the real world for what seemed like ages. People got angry at parents for grounding them, and staying in a closed room all day was pure torture. Every day was the same routine; wake up, think about how life was so hard while being grounded, eat, go back to the room, hoping one-day life will be easier and being grounded was not a thing. There are a lot of differences and similarities between being grounded and going to jail. Doing something wrong while under the age of eighteen has minor consequences compared to doing something wrong while over the age of eighteen. If someone breaks the law over the age of eighteen, people can find their selves in prison for years. One similarity between being in jail and being grounded is people spend amount of time in a small room. When people are grounded, it is in the bedroom, but when they are in jail, it is a jail cell. Either way you look at it, being in jail or being grounded is not a good thing. Being in jail can last much longer and can stay on a person’s personal record for a long time. Being in jail can also ruin any chances for a person trying to get a job. Being grounded usually stops after a person reaches the age of eighteen and hopefully the person can obey the parents and the law so they do not go to jail. People complain all the time if the parents ground them, but going to prison is a more severe punishment and should not be taken lightly Hopefully being grounded prepares people for the future and helps them straighten themselves out to avoid jail time in the future. If a person is ever given the choice of being grounded or going to jail, maybe they will pick being grounded instead of going to
