Don’t Question, Just Feel
In the poem, since feeling is first by E.E. Cummings, he feels that people over think and try making sense of how life works rather than actually feeling love and making a connection with the world. We often use the excuse of time getting in the way of actually living our lives which is what Cumming is demonstrating in this poem as well.

since feeling is first since feeling is first who pays any attention to the syntax of things will never wholly kiss you;

wholly to be a fool while Spring is in the world

my blood approves, and kisses are better fate than wisdom lady i swear by all flowers. Don't cry
—the best gesture of my brain is less than your eyelids' flutter which says

we are for each other: then laugh, leaning back in my arms for life's not a paragraph

And death i think is no parenthesis

In the first line of the poem which is also the title as well, “since feeling is first”, it presents the position of an individuals emotions and in this poem he emphasizes the emotion of love.

He then proves a point by the comparison of changing the expectations of someone who has “wisdom”, to the word “kisses” in saying that a life of affection is a “better fate”. Those who choose otherwise are considered unwise. In “lady i swear by all flowers”, Cummings demonstrates that the flowers and the narrator are unimportant, giving the reason for using the lowercase i. “Don't cry—the best gesture of my brain is less than your eyelids' flutter which says”, here the speaker assures his lady that he doesn’t think analytically. In “we are for each other: then laugh, leaning back in my arms”, he says the way her body moves and the way she acts around him tell him they are meant to be together than any other thought that was put into i.
