Comparing Dante's Inferno And The True Way

The only way to go through life is by believing in your faith and never straying from the True Way. But what actually is the True Way? It varies from religion to religion, but it still has a general definition. In The Inferno, Dante tries to portray what it would be like to take a path other than the True Way. He conveys the message of believing in God no matter what happens in life because in the end, it is God who will determine whether or not you had faith in your faith. Everyone has a goal in life. You might be trying to achieve something in the next few days or in the future after 10 years, but there is a certain path you need to take in order to achieve your goal. The True Way is a path leading towards your faith. It is where God stands at the end of the road and the only way you can reach Him is by believing in yourself and in Him. Dante makes this very clear by stating in The Inferno that once “he [Dante] went astray from the straight road” he found himself “alone in the dark wood” (…). He was able to keep an open mind about all the punishments that the sinners were receiving because it was God who was there for him and reassuring him that these sinners deserve what has common upon them.
