ELA The Portrayal of Death
A form of Death is shown in Annabel Lee, Incident in a Rose Garden, and The Raven. However, death is portrayed in different ways in those poems. For example, the speakers of the three poems have interaction with Death. I will discuss on how Death is portrayed in all three poems.
In Annabel Lee, the speaker sees Death as the angels who were jealous of him and his wife. The angles would send a cold wind that kills his wife Annabel Lee. In addition, this had made the speaker depressed and angry over the angels. In addition, the Speaker would go to her grave every day because he is in love with her so much. He did not want to believe that she
