Censorship is an important part of society. Censorship is the banning of certain things or ideals. Both Fahrenheit 451, a novel, and the video about censorship in China talk about censorship. In China, censorship is very present. Citizens cannot speak their minds and everything is controlled by the government, including social media. A number of American celebrities have been banned from China because they said something against the country. Chinese musician, Anthony Wong, spoke out against China, and no longer lives there. I see similarities between Wong and Montag. They both either spoke their minds or committed an action against the government. Montag stole banned books and read them, which was illegal. Wong sang at a pro-democracy rally.
