Comparing Hulu 'And' The Handmaid's Tale

There are many things that are different in the Hulu show The Handmaid's Tale episode one and the book The Handmaid's Tale. Though each of the texts is different each of them give a better understanding to the other. Both the book and the show are great for a better insight, but it just depends on what one can handle. The show can get very uncomfortable seeing it rather than just reading what is going on. There is a __________________ between making it up in your head and seeing how the Author of the book wrote it since she is one of the producers of the show on Hulu.
Imagery is important in any book or show. It can change the whole outlook. There are many similarities and differences between the two. The intro to the show shows a car being chased by what turns out to be the “eyes” what could be compared to as looking military like. They carry guns, radios, and are dressed in all black. Within the first few minutes one finds out about her daughter, later in the episodes one finds out her name was Hannah. Offred, then June, was running with her daughter when she slipped the men grabbed her and her daughter and took them away in opposite directions. While they are running they also hear gun shots. Implying Luke may have been shot since he stayed behind and let them run. It is made out in the beginning of the show that it is a high speed chase and they wreck. Neither the book nor the show says how things are how they are. They both leave one guessing about how society got how it is. In the show something one does not see in the book is that Offred makes smart remarks in her head. There is a vibe from the very beginning that she hates how things are and the remarks in her head add to that
