Comparing Individuality In Anthem And The Village

In dystopian society would you conform or stand up and become your own individual? In both the book Anthem and the movie The Village, they lack lots of individuality, and instead are controlled by others. Even though there are many similarities, they also have plenty of differences. Love is forbidden in Anthem. Unlike The Village, love is welcomed. Individuality is limited in both the Anthem and The Village. For example, in Anthem everyone is appointed with their life mandate and cannot choose on their own. In the Village, the woods that surround the village are forbidden to all of the villagers because a mysterious creature lives there.
