In the movie of Romeo and Juliet as Romeo and Tybalt are fighting and Romeo tries to walk away from the fight. He tries to walk away because he knows that it will cause even more trouble if Romeo kills Tybalt so he tries to walk away and Tybalt keeps coming trying to get Romeo to draw his pistol. Romeo never pulls his pistol so Tybalt charges Romeo and tackles him and as they are fighting Mercutio tries to stop them and gets stabbed with a piece of glass by Tybalt in his side. Romeo tries to help Mercutio from bleeding out. Mercutio cries out multiple times before his death “A plague on both your houses!” One reason he says this is because he feels that if Juliet’s family wouldn’t hate the Montagues so much that none of this would happen.
