The two poems by Langston Hughes compare to WAK’s poems “If This World Was Mines” in different ways. Like “My Dream” and “If This World Was Mines” because they both involve the narrators dreaming about something that probably won’t ever end up happening. But in the poem “Mother To Son” it talks about how a mother is telling her son that her life was never easy. So maybe the son is to suppose be Langston Hughes, this tells me that growing up his life was wasn’t easy at all. And in one of WAK’s poems it talks about how his mother is telling him that she won’t be there forever. So Langston Hughes’ poem compares to WAK’s because they both have to do with mothers conversating with their sons, about how their life has been rough & how they won’t
