Kayak and ski rentals, a pot of gold, beauty pageants, and slot machines? Wow, the Nevada government is almost one of a kind. Just ignore the fact that it was replicated from the California constitution and now we can turn all of our attention to the precious soul of Nevada and all of its noteworthy beauty and history. Nevada does have some pretty cool constitutional laws that set it apart from even, California. Directing most of the congressional decisions towards the citizens, Nevada values the resident’s opinions. The constitution has been designed to keep up with Nevada’s rapidly growing population and its rapidly growing love. When comparing the state constitution to the famous U.S constitution, they are similar because both of them consist of the three branches- Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. What distinguish them are their duties, term limits, and qualifications.

Nevada’s executive branch has distributed powers between six roles. The governor has the main job, but is not considered “royalty”. The other five offices- controller, attorney general, treasury, secretary of state, and lieutenant governor, are just as significant. The controller is in charge of keeping records. The attorney general is in charge of court-related issues. The treasury is in charge of the money. The secretary of state is in charge of elections.
