Odysseus and Everett both journey back to their homes to save their marriages. Odysseus tries to return home because he is trying to save his wife from multiple suitors. He participated in the trojan war and his journey to return home took him ten years. Within those 10 years, Odysseus was trapped on Calypso’s island. Everett tries to return home because he wants to win his wife back. Everett want to prevent his wife from being remarried. He escaped the chain gang with the goal to see his wife again. Theses examples support my thesis statement because both men are dealing with problems that involve their main goal. One difference between the two is that Everett never let his allies die while Odysseus got some of his crew be killed. Everett
