Do you hear the “Hurry of hoofs in a village street.” On April 18, 1775 it was a late night Revere and Dawes were setting off to warn the town (colonists) that the British were coming. I read the poem “Paul Revere’s Ride” by Henry Longfellow and the historic article “The Other Riders” by PBS.Though there were many similarities between the two texts, such as characters, towns, and they both were to inform. There were also many differences between the two texts including one has a lantern as a signal(Revere’s ride) and the other doesn't have a lantern signal(Other riders),one takes place at midnight(Revere’s ride) and the other during day and night(Other riders),only one person warned New England(Revere’s ride)and 3 people warned New England
