The stories people tell can be presented in various ways : romance, thriller, horror, fantasy, and mystery all are examples of different genres and ways to tell a story. There are many ways to tell a story or present an idea for the viewer to think about and use the information given to them and how it approached them in the first place, but people will try different ways to see it that they do it in their own way. Two separate texts may have similar ideas, but the way it is presented changes how it is received.

The theme of the story is usually either small or hidden in plain sight, details that all point to a centralised idea or thought in a story, the theme may be apparent or is underlying or implicit. Use the story to find the main idea of the story to fully understand the lesson or the theme.

The answer is the obvious yes, but how does it impact the way the reader gets the feeling for the theme? the reason that Romeo and Juliet is not popular because of the story, although it was beautifully written, but that the tragedy made it iconic and easy to catch in a sense.

Stories of forbidden love have been told WAY longer than Romeo and Juliet has existed and have came in various genres you would not expect even as popular the genre is in modern day.

Lets use some examples of popular stories to further prove our claims. West Side Story by Arthur Laurens is an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet where Riff and his rivals younger sister Maria are both the lovers in this novel.
