Comparing Solo And Mount Franklin's Advertisements

The two brands being told to people are Solo and Mount Franklin, they are both drinks that are represented as refreshing. Mount Franklin is a spring water and Solo is a lemon flavoured soft drink. One is a healthy drink in addition to the other being an unhealthy drink, the unhealthy drink tastes better in my opinion and a high percentage of others think so too. Spring water is just natural water; therefore, it has been manufactured into a bottle. Solo was made in 1984 and in their advertisements, they had, ‘he’s back and he’s thirstier than ever, SOLO MAN’ as their slogan in contrast to Mount Franklins advertising they generally have a celebrity in their ads such as Jennifer Hawkins in the latest advertisements. Mount Franklin does this because people see someone they recognise and will buy that product because someone they know is advertising it. This type of advertisement targets young men. Mount Franklin’s contention to their advertisement and brand itself is that if you buy their products you will be able to be a model and do nothing all day just like Jennifer Hawkins which everyone wants. They are also saying that it is fully natural so it’s just like drinking from a clean lake in the middle of nowhere.
