In my opinion, the color red is a very important symbol in the story. It is an emotional color, so it attracts both genders. It foreshadows Curley’s wife’s and Lennie’s death. Steinbeck compares Lennie to a lot of animals. On one occasion he was compared to a bull. Bulls are known to be attracted and known to go berserk to the color red. Lennie had also known to have caused trouble, because of a girl wearing a red dress in the town of Weed. When you think of the color red, it connotes with love, danger, rage. When Curley’s wife is introduced in the book, she is wearing a lot of red. This makes the reader uneasy due to the color red since it connotes with danger. It made me really uneasy when she was described with wearing a lot of red. I think
