A Brief Note On Homosexuality

It seems as though it is a known fact that homosexuality is not something that is considered normal in society today. People bring many factors that contribute to the argument that homosexuality is wrong, and this leads to homosexuals having their rights taken away. Heterosexuality is something that has always been considered normal, and the thought of having to stray away from that sense of norm frightens people. There are restrictions for homosexuals to get married, restrains on letting them adopt, and an unwelcome society waiting to protest against every move they make in their relationships. People use religion, and family values as the main arguments against homosexuality, stating that God is against two men or two women being together, and that a child needs both a mother and a father. The thing that I find interesting is that society is not learning from the mistakes they have made in history, because putting restrictions on homosexuals seems very similar to slavery against black people, and I feel that in the next few decades, children in schools will be learning about the fact that society was unjust to homosexuals just as they were to blacks, women, and other minorities. I do not understand why we cannot understand that the actions and restrains we put on minority groups, as a society, will in the near future, be something that we regret. I find it interesting to analyze who decided homosexuality as being deviant and heterosexuality as the norm, I would want
