Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton were both very respected politicians in their time. Despite them both having contrasting opinions about the formation of the United States government. Hamilton was a major supporter of the strong national government while Jefferson wanted to protect the states’ rights and keep the federal government smaller. Both of these men wanted what they thought was best for their country. Jefferson had ideas that were more beneficial for the early United states in the 19th century than Halitons were.
