Compare and Contrast Two Stories: An Accurate Assessment from an American Eye

In today’s society, when it comes to watching media on our television sets, our smart phones, or at our local brewery and neighbor’s house, we have to take the initiative to understand that media biases are bigger than conservative or liberal. In fact, because most media outlets and newscasts tailor their stories to achieve favorable ratings, money, or to provide stories that are easy to cover, sometimes we are forced to reassess the accuracy of a news story conveyed by journalists and broadcasters. With that being said, two stories that need to be reassessed for accuracy are Arizona’s Immigration Laws – involving SB170 and the September 11th attacks in 2001.
For example, the tragic attacks on the WTC along with the Pentagon attacks on September 11, 2001, were quite the most devastated attacks in United States history. Meanwhile, following the day on September 12th, the CNN news agency had a timeline of alleged events to help people understand what happened. As a result, it than became transparent that the American media outlets had a difficult job during the preliminary wakes of the attacks – as their job became three-fold: To cover the personal effects, the economic and political upshots of the crimes, and to cover the “why” and context for the crimes – followed by looking forward to the actions our country is going to take. Needless to say, to identify where the media lacked coverage in the events of 9/11, one can conclude that the overall contexts of the events weren’t relayed –as much as foreign media readily coveys
