What do Ashoka, Osama Bin Laden, Adolf Hitler, Kim-Jong-II, and Hirohito have in common? They all were ruthless and cruel people. Ashoka was the ruler of India. He ruled from 268 B.C. until his death in 232 B.C. He took over the Kalinga Empire to “complete the Mauryan Empire,” and drove them out of their country/killed about 350,000 people. Another example of many is that on one of his rock edicts, he says that he is “Beloved of the Gods,” and will kill his friends/allies if he has to.
The first thing he did was he attacked Kalinga and killed 100,000 of them, 100,000 of them died of hunger or disease, and 150,000 of them were driven out of their country (Doc. A). If that doesn't scream ruthless, I don't know what does. This proves that
