Comparison Of Cinderella And Chinese Cinderella

Today I am comparing Cinderella from the movie “Cinderella (2015)” and Adeline from “Chinese Cinderella”. The two girls have many similarities and many differences. I will be focusing on 2 similarities and 1 difference. The difference being that Adeline has friends and Cinderella doesn’t have any friends. The similarities being that they are both treated less than the other siblings. Another similarity is that they both lose their mothers. There are many other similarities and differences shared among the two. I think the ones I chose are the strongest statements though. Adeline has many friends, such as Wu-Chun Mei. Cinderella’s only friends are a group of field mice that somehow wondered into the house. Adeline is invited to many parties. Cinderella is invited to none. Adeline and Cinderella both lose their mothers at a young age. Adeline lost her mother a few weeks after she was born. Cinderella lost her mother when she was probably about 5-7 years old. Cinderella got to see and love and know her mother. Adeline doesn’t even remember what her mother looks like. The losses of their mothers cause their fathers to get remarried to stepmothers. These “stepmothers” will go on to ruin each of their lives in many different ways. Cinderella even loses her father and lets the stepmother destroy her life even further. They each also have a happy ending anyways. Cinderella meets the prince and is married to the prince. She lives happily ever after. In Adeline’s case she gets to go to college. Her father finally lets her do something she has wanted to do her whole life. She goes to an awesome university in France where she will study medicine. She as well lives happily ever after. So both stories have a happy ending even if they have some tragic events that go on throughout the
