In March of 1903, John Muir and President Theodore Roosevelt took a camping trip. This camping trip would later affect Yosemite Valley greatly. they took this camping trip so they could discuss the protection of forests all across the country. The main goal for Muir and President Roosevelt was to preserve and protect nature.
